God

We believe there is one God, who exists in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who are co- equal, co-existent and co-eternal. God is the only fitting object of our worship. He is perfectly holy, infinitely wise and powerful, and has measureless love. He concerns Himself in the affairs of men, hears and answers prayer and saves from sin all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is God the Son, the second person of the Trinity and is fully God and fully man. Having always existed, He took on human flesh, was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a perfect, sinless life on earth. His death on the cross paid the penalty for all sin and is the only basis for the salvation of the human race. He rose bodily from the grave and is now reigning in power with the Father. He offers us eternal life, forever forgiveness of sins and peace with God through faith in Him. He is the only way to God. We await His visible and glorious return to the earth to claim His own and to judge the living and the dead.

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is God and is the third person of the Trinity. He came to convict the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and comfort those who put their trust in Jesus Christ. He glorifies Christ as He dwells within the believer, enabling us with victory over the old nature and empowering us for service.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the word of God, written by men whom He inspired. It is God’s revelation of Himself to human beings and as such bears divine characteristics. The Bible is without error since God cannot err or lie. It speaks with final authority for every issue on which it touches and does not deceive us in any area to which it speaks.

Human Beings

We believe all human beings are created in God’s image, but all of us by nature (original sin) and by choice are sinners and as such are separated from God and will remain separated from Him forever unless each individual accepts God’s gift of forever forgiveness, forever relationship and eternal life with Him through Jesus Christ.

Blessed Hope & Resurrection

We believe Jesus Christ died on the cross, was buried, and rose again from the dead, thus conquering death forever. He offers salvation from sin’s penalty freely to all who, by faith, trust in Him. The moment of salvation marks the beginning of the believer’s eternal life and is kept by God’s power; thus the believer is secure in Christ forever.

The Church
We believe that the true church is the body of Christ and He is the Head. It is composed of all those with personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior. It is expressed universally through all believers and locally by local fellowships in worship, service, the spread of the Gospel and intentional relationships within the community.
Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9-13; 12:1-2; 14:13; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27; 16:1-2; 2 Corinthians 6:14; 7:1; Ephesians 2:8-10; 5:23-29; Hebrews 10:24-25

Ordinances

We believe that Communion (the Lord’s Supper) and Believer’s Baptism by immersion should be celebrated as Jesus instructed. Communion should be open to all true believers who trust in Jesus Christ, regardless of church affiliation.
Matt 28:19-20; Romans 6:1-11; Acts 8:36-39; 1Cor 11:23-34

Satan

We believe in the existence and personality of satan/the devil. He is the enemy of God and mankind, the author of sin, and the cause of the fall of mankind. He will be eternally punished in the lake of fire along with his fallen angels.
Job 1:6,7; Isaiah 14:12-17; Matt 4:2-11; Matt 25:41; Revelation 20-10-15

Prayer

We believe God desires and instructs each believer to pray as a means of communication and relationship with Him. Prayer is both a privilege and a responsibility. Prayer involves each person of the Trinity. We pray to God the Father, through the Son, our Lord Jesus Christ (it is on the basis of His atonement that we come) and in the power of the Holy Spirit. Prayer is a powerful tool given to us by God so we can offer Him praise and thanksgiving, confess our sins, make requests for ourselves, others and our world, and to listen as He speaks into our souls.
